Goodbye Summer

Naomi says, "Hello there! Can you believe it's almost fall?"

So, summer came and went and I have been no better at updating this blog. Let's just say that a certain baby girl has been keeping our hands full!

Naomi is not crawling quite yet, but appears to be getting ready to do so. She can get up on all fours, which is a sign that she may crawl soon. If you're familiar with yoga, then you'll know what I mean when I say that she can also get into the "downward facing dog" position.

When it comes to teething, Naomi cannot take a break. She has several teeth coming in at the same time! She will soon have 8 teeth - 4 on the bottom, 4 on top.

On August 28th Naomi turned 8 months old:

Naomi loves jumping in her jumper!

This September, Naomi started swimming lessons at the YMCA. Tony and I take turns being her swimming partner, but she clearly prefers her Daddy! Here are some pics from her first class with Daddy:

That would be Naomi screeching and splashing in the back!

More pictures:At Tony's sprint triathlon in Mercer County, NJ, in late July.

Lazy summer days with Aunt Christy in July. Aunt Christy started medical school in August.

We celebrated cousin Miranda's first birthday in August. L to R: Emily, Naomi, Grandma Susie, Miranda.

Goodbye for now, everybody!

Love, Emily

Two Months

Naomi turned two months old on February 28th. She is growing slowly but surely, and is getting more adorable every day!

We have more pictures and news to share, BUT FIRST......The Lost Photographs: Emily at 36 weeks!

I had planned on updating this blog at Christmastime, so we took these pictures on the day I was 36 weeks pregnant. But as you now know, we had an early special delivery before I got the chance to post them!

Okay, now on to the baby. :)

Bathtime!

Grandma Sompit (Kun-yah) came to visit and help out in early February.

We were able to visit Grandma Susie and lots of other family in February.

In my swing.

Naomi finally met her cousin Miranda in February when she came to visit with Aunt Jenn! Miranda was very curious about Naomi.......Naomi was a bit more interested in Daddy at the time.

Naomi is eight weeks old and Miranda is six months here.

At both her one-month and two-month checkups, Naomi was in the 25th percentile for length, weight, and head circumference. A perfectly proportioned little peanut!

Bye-bye for now!

January 2010

Well, it's been a whirlwind, but we made it through Naomi's first month! Below are some pictures from January 2010.

Please note that these pictures are in REVERSE chronological order. Enjoy!

Naomi is almost 4 weeks old here.

Showing off my cute sneakers.

Hi! My eyes are wide open!

We went for a walk around the block one warm-ish Saturday.

Naomi's room.
THANK YOU to my family for setting up the baby's room on December 29th. Because she was 3 weeks early, we didn't have any furniture set up. We had been hoping to get to that after Christmas! Thanks to Grandma Susie, Grandpa Ron, Aunts Jenn, April, and Christy, Uncles Seth and Arthur, and of course, Daddy, Naomi had a beautiful nursery to come home to. (Daddy is still working on the window trimming.)

Entry into Naomi's room.

Our little rosebud.

Pregnancy made my hair thick....check out my nice, thick braid.

A late but perfect Christmas present.
Daddy is so warm!

Grandma Susie came to help us out at home!
Getting dressed to go home from the hospital.

This is Naomi's "Touchdown!" pose.

Naomi, Mommy, and Daddy wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day! xoxoxoxo
